If you are new to this site, we thank you for checking us out. If you have been redirected to this site from www.pbsalumnila.org, we hope that you will find this site to much more dynamic and user friendly.

The brothers of Phi Beta Sigma Chapter the Los Angeles Alumni Chapter would like to thank you for visiting our website. Known as the “Chapter of Heritage” being the first Chapter in Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. to be established west of the Rockies. Phi Beta Sigma Chapter has lived up to the high ideals of Brotherhood, Scholarship, and Service serving the Greater Los Angeles area since 1937. Through the Fraternity’s three main programs, Bigger and Better Business, Education, and Social Action, our Chapter has faithfully served the community. We have shared our business acumen by hosting business and investment education seminars for the community. We have provided thousands of dollars in scholarships to talented high school seniors as well as students enrolled in four-year universities. We believe to turn the tide of the reduced numbers of men of color enrolled in our universities; we must intervene with our young men at an early age. Through our Sigma Beta Club our National Youth Auxiliary organization we mentor young men ages 8-18 years. We have adopted La Tijera Academy of Excellence Charter School in Inglewood and Centennial High School in Compton to provide focused attention to these respective middle and high school campuses. We get great pleasure from helping the less fortunate by feeding the hungry on skid row, providing toys at Christmas to children in Watts, and providing blankets to warm our city’s homeless. Phi Beta Sigma Chapter has been instrumental in chartering and reactivating many chapters throughout the Western Region. Our Chapter produces leaders on both the Regional and National levels. We consistently hold the largest membership in the Western Region, peaking in 2014 our Centennial year with over 100 members. Message from Chapter President

I humbly greet you on behalf of the men of Phi Beta Sigma Chapter. This year marks my 40th year being a member of this Nobel organization. One might ask why after being initiated on the campus of Cal State University Long Beach, Zeta Tau Chapter some 40 years ago are you still involved with the Fraternity? My answer is I still believe in the Fraternity's ideals of Brotherhood, Scholarship, and Service. Our Chapter is composed of talented men of diverse backgrounds: Educators, authors, businessmen, healthcare professionals, pastors, lawyers, actors, politicians and so many more. As a chapter, we foster leadership development within our Fraternity as well as in our personal and professional lives. We have a sincere and intimate concern one for another modeling the ideal of Brotherhood. We financially support the educational pursuits of motivated young men with our Scholarship.
